Catch-Up TV: Availability and Use

Catch-up lets you replay supported past programmes where the channel, service and player provide that feature. It is not a recording of every channel.

Catch Up Tv

Check the specific channel

Ask about the channels and programmes you actually want to replay. Catch-up availability and the replay window can vary. A Premium package feature does not mean every live channel has an archive.

Test a known supported programme during your trial instead of assuming that a clock icon always guarantees a playable replay.

Check player support

The player needs to expose the available catch-up feature in a usable way. Some use the programme guide; others provide a separate archive view. Follow the selected player’s own controls.

If live playback works but replay does not, report those as separate results. The difference helps support identify whether the issue is the archive, guide mapping or app support.

Understand schedule and time-zone effects

An incorrect device time zone or guide offset can point you to the wrong programme time. Compare the current guide with the broadcast and correct the underlying setting before repeatedly opening different archive entries.

Do not assume the replay has been deleted solely because the displayed title is wrong. Record the channel, date and approximate programme time for support.

Catch-up and on-demand are different

A film in the on-demand library is a separate catalogue entry. A past broadcast may not be available in that library, and an on-demand title does not guarantee a catch-up version of its television broadcast.

If replay is a major requirement, confirm the exact supported arrangement before choosing a plan. Use the trial to test navigation as well as playback.
